One of the latest smart energy solutions in home air conditioning is smart climate control with Fujitsu’s optional Wi-Fi controllers, featuring advanced technologies to provide greater control and efficiency of your heat pump / air conditioner.

Fujitsu General’s smart climate control with anywAiR® technology includes Wi-Fi connectivity for greater control of your heat pump / air conditioner. These latest home air conditioning systems provide increased control over your unit, using Wi-Fi technology to enable on-the-go adjustments to the mode, temperature settings or ducted zones.

6 Parts of a Smart Climate Control System

Smart climate control systems consist of a number of different components. Many of these are unique to these modern home heat pumps, enabling them to connect to a mobile app or a central control unit. Working together, these components help to create a comfortable living environment while saving energy and maximising control.

Main Air Conditioning System

The central component of a smart climate control system is the air conditioning unit. Available in split system, ducted and multi system variants, these units are responsible for heating and cooling the room. Fujitsu General units are equipped with inverter technology, which adjusts the speed of the motor based on the demands of the load.

Thermostats and Sensors

When using smart climate control with a Fujitsu ducted system, you can control the temperature and the different zones and operating modes through your smart device.

Depending on its capabilities, a smart climate control system can feature a number of different sensors, including room sensors that detect temperature and motion sensors that adjust the settings based on occupancy.

Air Filtration System

An air filtration system is designed to remove dust, allergens and pollutants from indoor environments, leaving only clean air in the room. Some Fujitsu General units incorporate an Apple-Catechin filter to absorb fine dust, mould spores and other harmful microorganisms. Fujitsu units featuring the Apple-Catechin filter have been approved by the National Asthma Council Australia’s Sensitive Choice programme, giving you peace of mind that our products are asthma and allergy aware.

Wi-Fi Module

One of the key differences between an ordinary air conditioner and a smart climate control system is the ability to connect with the unit over Wi-Fi. The module allows for integration with compatible mobile applications, enabling you to tailor the living conditions inside your home depending on personal preference or ambient conditions.

Mobile Application / Control Hub

Most smart climate control systems can be integrated with a compatible mobile application or smart home hub to facilitate remote control of the system. In the case of Fujitsu General’s units, anywAiR technology enables you to connect to your air conditioning units remotely via the anywAiR or myanywAiR Next apps, depending on the exact unit you purchase.

Zoning System

Fujitsu ducted heat pumps equipped with the anywAiR technology ducted zone controller feature zoning systems to only heat and cool specific rooms which are in use. These systems regulate airflow or temperature to different areas of your home based on your preferences and inputs via either the central controller or the mobile app.

How Does a Smart Climate Control System Work?

Smart energy-saving heat pumps / air conditioners use advanced technology to ensure a comfortable living environment and optimal energy usage.

Smart sensors monitor and analyse room temperatures in real time

In continuously monitoring indoor conditions, smart climate control systems can make adjustments to the unit’s operation in real time. Units that feature energy-saving technology like Human Sensor Control can operate at a reduced output if no movement is detected for over 20 minutes.

The control system automatically adjusts temperature based on pre-programmed preferences

A smart climate control system offers you the ability to set specific operation timers that operate on a daily or weekly basis. These schedules are taken on board by the heat pump / air conditioner, automatically adjusting the temperature once the room’s temperature reaches a specified point.

Users control temperature via mobile app or control hub

Mobile apps allow remote control of the smart climate control system from a smartphone or tablet. The Fujitsu anywAiR and myanywAiR Next apps, allows adjustment of the temperature, as well as the creation of timers and schedules. With the anywAiR technology Wi-Fi adaptor II, you can also use the geofencing feature to switch the unit on or off automatically based on your proximity to home.

Smart climate control analyses user preferences over time and makes automatic adjustments

New air conditioning technology is continuously being rolled out across the Fujitsu General range. Our smart climate control systems include a Climate React feature, which allows you to program rules so that your heat pump turns on automatically once the room goes above or below certain temperatures. Units equipped with the optional anywAiR technology Wi-Fi adaptor II can also be programmed to operate based on your proximity to home, using the inbuilt Geofencing feature. These features help ensure the heat pump operates efficiently while optimising usage of the unit.

Smart Energy Solutions for a Comfortable Home

Smart climate control brings the latest in air conditioning technology to your home. Models equipped with smart energy-saving technology are designed to provide increased comfort, reduced energy consumption and convenient control of your home heat pump wherever you are.

By choosing Fujitsu General’s anywAiR technology smart climate control system, you can adjust the temperature and zoning (if applicable) according to the weather and schedule your home air conditioner to operate remotely using the anywAiR or myanywAiR Next app, ensuring a comfortable and cost-effective living environment upon your return home.
