Fujitsu General New Zealand has officially changed its business name to General New Zealand, effective 1 January 2026, reflecting the company’s next chapter as part of the Paloma Rheem Holdings.

The name change follows Fujitsu General Limited’s integration into Paloma Rheem Holdings Co., Ltd. in August 2025 and aligns with a global transition to the new trade name GENERAL Inc. The change marks an important milestone in the company’s evolution, while reinforcing its long-term commitment to customers, partners, and the New Zealand market.

General New Zealand will continue to market its products under the trusted FUJITSU and GENERAL AIRSTAGEbrands, ensuring continuity for customers and partners across residential and commercial air conditioning solutions as it slowly transitions away from the Fujitsu brand over time.

Philip Perham, managing director, General Australia and New Zealand, said, “This transition reflects both stability and opportunity. While our business name has changed, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to delivering reliable, energy-efficient heat pump and air conditioning solutions backed by strong local support.

“Becoming General New Zealand positions us to work even more closely with Paloma Rheem Holdings group of companies, allowing us to build on our strengths, accelerate innovation, and continue delivering comfort and value to New Zealand homes and businesses.”

General New Zealand will continue normal operations, with no impact to existing customer relationships, warranties, and service arrangements. The business remains dedicated to advancing heat pump and inverter technologies, supporting decarbonisation efforts, and contributing to a more sustainable society.
