Fujitsu General continues to innovate smart home experiences with the release of its next generation anywAiR® technology ducted controller, now featuring a garage door controller and sensor* optional add-on. Australians are turning to connected technologies to manage household systems and control costs, and Fujitsu General is responding with practical, user-focused innovations to meet modern expectations of comfort, security, and energy efficiency.
The latest updates to the anywAiR® technology ducted controller exemplify this direction, offering seamless control of ducted air conditioning systems alongside intelligent garage door operation. Fujitsu General provides this convenience through a single platform, designed to reflect the evolving role of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in today’s smart home ecosystems.
Kyle Rafter, general manager of product and strategy, Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand, said, “Fujitsu General is committed to comfort and making homes more convenient and energy efficient for hard working Australians. The updated controller brings new levels of integration and control to Australian homes, enhancing both residential energy efficiency and usability.
“The add-on garage door controller and sensor let users operate compatible garage doors remotely via the anywAiR® app, so Aussies can check the door’s status or close it from anywhere. Built-in notifications also alert users if the garage door has been left open for a specified time. This level of visibility and control aligns with a growing desire for centralised home management and greater efficiency.”
The anywAiR® controller is operated through a sleek wall-mounted touchpad and supported by a Wi-Fi-enabled mobile app. Users can create up to 12 programmable scenarios for temperature and airflow control, and leverage active weather features to trigger automatic heating or cooling based on local conditions. The system supports variable air volume (VAV) and temperature-controlled zoning for energy savings and personalised comfort across the home.
The updated anywAiR® technology ducted controller also includes a sleep economiser mode that switches from cooling to fan operation overnight automatically to support household energy efficiency without sacrificing comfort. Its Android-based operating system lets users run other applications via the wall-mounted screen, making it a truly integrated control hub.
The addition of the garage door controller and sensor further extends the utility of the platform when combined with the latest version of the anywAiR® app (v2.1478).* The system is compatible with panel garage doors and can detect whether the door is open, closed, or in motion. It connects via a direct power supply or through the garage door motor’s DC output, delivering greater value and functionality to customers wanting a unified home automation approach. The enhanced anywAiR® technology ducted controller with garage door functionality is available now as an add-on via Fujitsu General’s authorised dealer network.
