Fujitsu General New Zealand has updated its offering under the government-backed Warmer Kiwi Homes (WKH) grant scheme, giving eligible homeowners access to a broader range of energy-efficient heat pumps. From July 2025, select models from Fujitsu General’s Lifestyle range will now include Wi-Fi smart climate control as standard, a first for Fujitsu General as part of the WKH scheme.

The WKH program is delivered by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) and provides grants covering up to 80 per cent of the cost of approved heat pumps for eligible homes*. The inclusion of the updated Lifestyle range strengthens Fujitsu General’s position as a trusted supplier to the scheme, reinforcing its ongoing support for initiatives that improve energy efficiency and wellbeing across Aotearoa.

Jeremy Foster, general manager – sales, Fujitsu General New Zealand, said, “Fujitsu General is proud to support the Warmer Kiwi Homes scheme, helping more Kiwis access energy-efficient climate control solutions. Our Lifestyle models offer greater control, convenience, and comfort, with Wi-Fi smart climate control included at no extra cost, all without compromising affordability or reliability.”

The move to include Wi-Fi in WKH-approved models marks a significant step forward in Fujitsu General’s product offering. This demonstrates Fujitsu General’s continued effort to remove barriers to access and deliver feature-rich systems to customers who need them most.

Jeremy Foster said, “Fujitsu General is committed to making superior air conditioning technology accessible to every household. Integrating Wi-Fi connectivity into WKH-approved models gives Kiwi homeowners smarter tools to manage their home’s temperature, usage, and energy consumption effectively, supporting both comfort and cost savings in the long term.

“Fujitsu General continues to deliver high-performance solutions that meet the real-world needs of New Zealanders through rigorous testing, local expertise, and a focus on both innovation and sustainability. Customers can now confidently choose Fujitsu General through the WKH scheme, knowing they are investing in proven, future-ready technology.”

The inclusion of Wi-Fi capability highlights Fujitsu General’s focus on remote climate control and enhanced energy management via smartphone connectivity, helping more households achieve a healthier and more sustainable home environment, particularly during the colder months when heating demand peaks and energy costs rise.
